 Ok, equipment failures suck!

News about the W1CKD repeaterHere we go again! A power supply failure this time is the cause for leaving the W1CKD repeater dark for a second time this year. Fortunately this will be a short lived event as I was smart enough to hold a power supply in reserve for such a situation.

The previous supply was an Astron 35A which had been in service for over 5 years. The replacement is an Astron 50A which should give us a little more overhead in performance.

All things being equal, the repeater should be back on the air sometime late Saturday (10/1/05) morning or sometime in the afternoon. Stay tuned!

*** UPDATE *** The 50A supply is not working so the repeater will remain off the air until I can purchase another supply (might be quite some time as I currently don't have the extra cash on hand), or someone donates either a working 35A supply or some $$$.
