 Couldn't resist!

News about the W1CKD repeaterSunday (November 13th, 2005) was such a gorgeous day, I couldn't resist going up the hill to take care of a few lingering issues. In case anyone cares, here is the list:

Work was done on the controller to fix a problem with receive audio for the control link radio port.

The repeater PA was moved lower in the cabinet to be in the direct line of fire from the hurricane force box fan.

Fine tuning adjustments were made to the control link radio's transmitter output frequency and power output, receiver input frequency, PL encoder deviation and squelch setting.

The outside temperature sensor was moved to minimize exposure to the sun.

The ceramic heater inside the building was set to 55~60 degrees and switched to the higher of the two power output settings.

All things being equal, I believe the machine is in the best shape it has ever been in! Hopefully we'll be able to weather the winter well and with the arrival of spring even more will be accomplished.
